I believe this magazine is opting out of convention because it genuinely original and pure. In this cover, i also think that it links to Richard Dyer's theory of "A star is an image, not a real person, that is constructed", this is the reason of how she is portrayed in this cover, her ambience is that of an angel in my opinion. I further think that this cover has a few subtle semiotics to entice the reader further, her white dress is quite a cultural semiotic, this is because she could be illustrated as an angel, which fundamentally links to religion. Classical could be linked to religion because the music they are playing is largely holy. Emotionally this could really draw the reader to this magazine.
