Magazine options;

Classical magazine's

Today i focussed my attention on choosing my desired genre for my magazine; after some thoughts i chose classical because i want to give the magazine genre for classical a new electric look that will spice up the look of the magazines.

The main conventions of classical music magazines;

  • Masthead: 1/6th of the front page often in red, blue, black or white. 
  • Colours: black/white/red,yellow font , white,
  • Cover stories: main article on a specific artist
  • Features: workshops, events, announcements, biography, information, about performances, concert review, what's on, women in classical music, new artists, advice, for sale, music score, venues and buildings.
  • Puffs - rare - usually only one, quite simple and small
  • Banners: rare
Pictures/ photography: often the front cover has the full photograph of the model in a medium or medium long shot. Inside: close ups of instruments, venues, people with instruments, long shots of performances.

  • Individual shots
  • Traditional genre
  • Locations are: studio, interiors, buildings, workshops, recording studios
  • Props: instruments
  • Costumes : suits, dresses, prom dresses, ties, dickey bows
Fonts - size, colour etc

San serif/times new roman/handwriting fonts/italics/thin fonts like/mona lisa or abadi condensed or deja vu
Layout 

  • Lines 
  • dots
  • scrolls
  • boxes
  • thirds
